There are three afflictions which many millions suffer from and for which medical science has yet to find a cure for. I’m talking about eczema, psoriasis and rheumatism. The first two are skin diseases which are both unsightly and can cause significant irritation, and the third, rheumatism, covers a range of  painful medical conditions but which most people associate with ailments which can affect joints, bones, tendons and muscles.

For many years, proprietary creams and lotions have been available that help relieve symptoms and provide temporary relief from the symptoms and effects of these painful conditions. Researchers have developed medicines that also alleviate the dry skin and itching associated with psoriasis and eczema and the pain of rheumatism. But many of these treatments also contain potentially harmful ingredients, such as steroids and hormones that can, at best, limit the use of the medications, and at worst, have unpleasant side effects.

However, for thousands of years, a 100% natural remedy for these diseases has been known and used by mankind – the mud, the salt water and the sun of the Dead Sea. Whilst not a cure for any of these diseases, the naturally occurring minerals and salts in the mud and water  and the effect of the sun’s rays at this, the lowest spot on earth, have a proven record for easing pain and putting the conditions in remission for an extended period of time.

Recent research by the Dead Sea and Arava Science Center, carried out under the auspices of the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, have shown remarkable remission rates in patients who underwent courses of treatment at the Dead Sea. The data collected shows that over 95% of the patients showed a significant improvement after only one week of treatment and that, following the completion of the full course, the majority of patients were free from symptoms for almost a year.

It is worth noting also, that treatment is carried out under medical supervision but whilst staying at one of the Dead Sea’s many luxury hotels and not within a hospital or clinic. In effect, patients not only benefit from a highly effective and long lasting course of treatment with no side effects, but they also enjoy a thoroughly relaxing vacation.
