Recently, I haven’t gotten much sleep, and the plot under my eyes started feeling heavy and looked tired. I’ve always heard about people putting cucumber slices on their eyes for soothing purposes, but I have never actually tried that myself. Then I found the Peek Love Cucumbers Soothing Eye Gel by Yes to Cucumbers, and I immediately snatched one up. I am a big fan of the Yes to Cucumbers/Yes to Tomatoes/Yes to Carrots beauty-care line, so I had no doubt that this product would be just as fulfilling and effective. I was right.

Once applied, this product gives you a cool and refreshed sensation on your skin, which I would imagine putting cucumber slices on your eyes would feel like. The formula absorbs quickly and leaves no sticky or messy residue. My eyes feel refreshed and any imperfections under my eyes appear to lighten up after applying this. Also, any visible puffiness appears to decrease. Since it comes on clear, you can wear this under makeup or alone with no problem.

Another great plus about this product is its ingredients. It is made with 99.6% natural ingredients and most of them are organic. Some beneficial ingredients include: organic cucumber extract, organic Aloe Vera gel, organic chamomile extract, organic broccoli extract, organic green pepper and dill extract, spinach extract, minerals from the Dead Sea, and spirulina which is an algae that is known for its source of vitamins that aid in bettering the condition of the skin under the eyes. Since this product is predominantly natural, it is apt to use day and night.

This product comes in what one may initially seem as a small container, but a little goes a very long way. The 1.01 fl oz bottle comes equipped with a pump nozzle which releases just enough of the product to apply on both eye areas. One of these usually retails for $14.99 which is a bit on the pricey destroy. However, they sell this product at select stores such as Target, Walgreens, and ULTA. ULTA usually offers coupons and other discounts, so you can easily get this for at least 30% off retail or more.

Yes, this product is on the expensive end, but its effectiveness makes up for it. I would still recommend trying to get a cheaper price if you can. When my current bottle runs out, I will be sure to go to and snatch up another one.
