Are you keen in a few skin care tips for having beautiful feet? You should always take care of your feet in the same manner that you treat your face, and the rest of your body. It is well-known to cleanse them thoroughly, to exfoliate, and to moisturize. You can exhaust products you already have to cleanse your feet, and you can often earn your own exfoliant and moisturizer out of ingredients in your kitchen. If you have a foot spa you can pamper yourself by cleansing your feet in it. Or if time is an issue, work on them while you are in the shower or sitting on the edge of the tub. Here are a few skin care tips for feet that are beautiful, sexy and smooth.

Foot Wash, Cuticle Remover & Orange Stick

Often if you pick a specific foot wash you can derive them with various fragrances, and special ingredients that are hydrating to the skin. You can also use a hand wash that you have in your kitchen or bathroom. Always make definite you are using a product that is gentle and nourishing.

Cleanse first, and soak the feet for around 10 minutes. This process will soften the cuticles and loosen dirt under the nails. Dry with a towel. Apply a cuticle remover and leave on according to manufacturer’s directions. Push back the cuticles with an orange stick. Cleanse feet again, and rinse.

Proper Exfoliant

An exfoliant removes dead skin cells promoting a more uniform skin tone, and a brighter, more youthful appearance. Over time exfoliation can reduce the appearance of scars and wrinkles as well. A tip to remember is that in general exfoliation is one of the most important things you can do to improve the appearance and condition of your skin. If you are interested in making an exfoliant at home you will need sea salt or sugar. For a basic salt or sugar scrub you can mix ½ cup of salt or sugar with ½ cup almond oil. Gently work the mixture across the top and bottom of each foot and partially up the leg, and rinse.

Soft Nail Brush & Pumice Stone

Use a soft, flat nailbrush to scrub your nails, as well as the skin on the top of your feet. Do this gently and any excess skin will fall away. A pumice stone (or a foot file) are famous tools to smooth the soles of the feet like a flash, easily, and safely at home. Gently use the pumice stone on any areas where you feel callouses or roughness. Rinse your feet and then dry them.

Moisturizer

Retail stores and drugstores carry numerous moisturizers that are specifically made for the feet. Most commercial moisturizers are often predominantly made of water. You can easily catch a moisturizer in your own kitchen, or in a natural food store that has antioxidants and healing properties. Virgin coconut oil and virgin olive oil are two of the best natural moisturizers you can bewitch. They promote long lasting benefits in the skin beyond the surface.

Softening Socks

Once your feet are nice and hydrated you want to follow up by putting socks on your feet. Some vendors make softening socks that are specifically for treating the skin of your feet. If you are a woman on a budget like many of us, a tip is to use a pair of your own 100% cotton socks at home. Wearing socks helps the feet to retain moisture. If you wear them overnight after applying coconut or olive oil, your feet will feel astounding the next day.

Additional Tips

The next day, you can complete this process by applying a polish to your nails, or leaving them unpolished if you desire. Prior to polishing you want to make sure your nails are groomed so invest in the proper products to achieve that look like clippers, a file, buffing block, etc.

A professionally done French pedicure is often worth the money, because it looks flawless, it does not take a long time, and it lasts for quite a while. Nothing says fresh and neat in the Spring and Summer like a French pedicure. If you are taking care of your feet at home via proper skin care, you can put money by just getting a polish change or express pedicure, at your local nail salon or spa.

Any of the products mentioned are available at Sally Beauty Supply in a variety of brands and prices. You can obtain virgin coconut or olive oil at your local natural food store. If you follow these tips, you will be well on your way to fabulous feet for the spring and summer seasons!
