Six Non-Surgical Cosmetic Procedures to Keep You Looking Your Best
- These treatments are very inexpensive.
- For a share of the cost of surgery, you can use these products in your own home.
- Everyone can look great, even on a tight budget.
With the spot of today’s economy, people are trying to carve back wherever they can, and stretch their budget farther. A lot of ladies (and men) are cutting back at the spa or salon, to help save a few pennies. However, you can still explore good without spending a fortune. Instead of pricey surgical procedures, consider some great, simple non-surgical procedures that can save you time, money, and keep you looking your best. My personal maintenance budget every month is around $50, and I look like I’ve spent noteworthy more. I’ve chosen six of my favorite non-surgical alternatives, and will explain how you can glean them, too.
First, as an alternative to costly surgery, try MicrodermAbrasion. MicrodermAbrasion exfoliates your skin and immediately visibly reduces the signs of aging by speeding up cellular regeneration. This process forces your skin to act grand younger, and increases its firmness. This also reduces the appearance of lines, wrinkles and skin discoloration and scars. You can have MDA treatments done at most spas for around $150 per treatment, or you can choose MDA kits from some of the major in-home cosmetic companies. My favorite is BeautiControl’s MicrodermAbrasion kit. For around $60, you get the MDA buffer and crème, and one jar of BeautiControl’s MDA crème will yield about 12 treatments. One treatment takes about three to five minutes, and is easy to fit into your daily skincare routine without even leaving your home. MicrodermAbrasion should only be used twice a week, however, to avoid damaging the skin.
You can also try a Chemical Peel to loosen dead skin cells, jump launch new cell growth, and reduce the appearance of age on your skin. At my local spa, one Chemical Peel treatment runs upward of $500. Not many people can afford that right now, (unless they work at AIG and can spend the taxpayers’ money on looking their best), so I like BeautiControl’s Chemical Peel site. It’s about $40, and one kit will yield over 30 treatments. You simply apply their Acid Peel Serum to remove deeply buried debris, and the Peel-Off Mask to strip nasty surface cells, and come away with smoother, cleaner and younger skin. This is another product that can be used in the comfort of your own home, whenever you need it. As with the MicrodermAbrasion, you have to be careful not to overuse this product, to avoid damaging your skin.
Another alternative to surgical procedures is a treatment of line-relaxing or line-removing injections, such as Botox. These injections, however, are very pricey, running around $500 for one round of injections. I don’t like the thought of having bacteria injected into my skin, so I have found that BeautiControl’s Tight, Firm & Fill Face Crème works just as well. I’m very young, and my skin has not progressed far enough to need a product like this, but my mother uses it, and she agrees that is a far better alternative to injections. For around $50, she gets over 40 treatments, and her skin looks tremendous – people have even asked if we are sisters! The Tight, Firm & Fill relaxes facial lines, then plumps lines and wrinkles, and strengthens the skin’s support structure for long-term improvement of skin firmness. A topical crème is a much better alternative to painful surgical procedures, so my sister (who I purchase my BeautiControl products from) recommends Tight, Firm & Fill to everyone.
If you are worried about lines and wrinkles, another immense alternative to surgery is BeautiControl’s Demarkable Dermal Smoothing Lotion. This works as a great alternative to painful injections, as well. Dermarkable dramatically reduces the appearance of the size and discoloration of scarring and stretch marks on the skin, and you’ll explore results in less than 30 days. Demarkable also helps smooth damaged skin. This product is gargantuan for your face, or for those pesky after-baby stretch marks, and saves you from the surgeon’s knife!
A very simple, very inexpensive alternative for reducing lines around your mouth is BeautiControl’s Lip Apeel and Lip Balm combo. This product comes in one simple jar – the top fraction of the jar holds the Lip Balm, and the bottom holds the Lip Apeel. The product is a combination exfoliator and moisturizer that minimizes the appearance of unwanted lines around the lips, and keeps your lips soft and moisturized. One jar of this product is $19, and lasts many months – I’ve been working on one since April, and it’s still about half full!
And finally, another great alternative to surgery is a warm, cleansing Mud Masque. My local spa starts these treatments at around $100, and depending what you want, can charge up to $150. I exercise BeautiControl’s Luxuries of the Sea Fango Seaweed Scrub/Masque. This costs about $35 and lasts me several months. The Fango Masque draws impurities from the skin, leaving it soft, refreshed, and silky-smooth. And, the best part is that I can do this in the privacy of my fill home, without embarrassment or hassle.
So, looking beautiful doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg, and you don’t have to give up your beauty regimen because the economy’s in a tight spot. I’m glad that my sister introduced me to these products, or I’d still be taking less than great care of my skin! Well-behaved luck, and enjoy!
