I am a woman who has suffered hair loss in the forms of telogen effluvium (TE) or chronic telogen effluvium (CTE) several times throughout my life. Over the years, I have done countless hours of research and probably tried thousands of dollars worth of products. Some have worked and some have actually made my hair loss worse. I need to disclose that I’ve never found a hair loss shampoo that could stop hair loss overnight. But, there are products though that can control or decrease shedding and / or can support healthy regrowth by decreasing inflammation.

Finding the best hair loss shampoo for you requires defining what you are looking for in a product. For example, do you prefer a natural or herb based product or are you more interested in concentrated products that reduce DHT or soothe inflammation?

Here is a list of what I consider to be the best. Because I’ve suffered TE and chronic TE, I do not rely as heavily on very harsh DHT blockers. I like products that clean and nourish my scalp to support regrowth. I alternate and rotate the shampoos around because I find that if I don’t, I could get build up over time and / or the products lose their effectiveness a bit if my scalp gets overly used to them. Also, it’s my opinon that hair loss shampoos should be just one weapon in your arsenol on hair loss.  In my experience, they alone are generally not enough to get the results that you are looking for.

In Europe, some 5.5 million people suffer from psoriasis, over 35,000,000 from eczema and about 100,000,000 suffer from rheumatism or arthritis. That’s an awful lot of people suffering from diseases that have, to date, no known permanent cure.

No permanent cure – but relief is available

Psoriasis makes the sufferer’s skin very dry, flakey and red and can cause severe itching.  It usually manifests itself on the scalp, the elbows or the knees. Eczema is yet another skin disease where the sufferer has red, irritating patches on wide areas on his skin.  Rheumatism is an inflammatory disease of the joints that can cause sufferers intense pain and mobility problems. Medical science offers no cure for these ailments but, a natural treatment does exist that can provide long lasting relief from the pain and discomfort that is the lot of sufferers – a trip to the Dead Sea and a course of treatment in the Dead Sea’s mineral rich waters and mud treatments with the mineral rich mud.

Psoriasis ? no cure, but there is a solution

Psoriasis is a chronic skin disease that manifests itself with a buildup of large, unsightly areas of dry flakey skin. Psoriasis can appear on the scalp, the elbows and other parts of the body. Whilst not life threatening in any way, psoriasis can cause life changing experiences for those suffering from it! To date, scientists and doctors who have been researching psoriasis for decades still don’t know for certain the causes of the disease and have, as yet, been unable to provide a cure. Psoriasis is a chronic illness that becomes an unfortunate fact of life for those suffering from it.

Many commercial products exist that claim to alleviate the effects and outward symptoms of psoriasis. Many are based on “wonder drugs”, the use of hormones, steroids and artificial substances that, whilst they may have a short term effect on the dry skin caused by psoriasis, may cause more harm than good in the long run.

Other treatments, such as Ultra Violet treatments in a tanning salon or natural substances that have been proven effective in the short term, also have their disadvantages. Excess UV exposure that may cause a remission in psoriasis can cause skin cancer. The many natural creams and balms available demand constant usage, some are unpleasant to use and the vast majority are expensive and their affects are very shorted lived.

Psoriasis ? there is hope!

Do you, like me, suffer from psoriasis? Have the all too obvious symptoms of psoriasis like areas of dry skin, been a cause for embarrassment? Has psoriasis affected your self confidence and your ability to lead a normal life?

These are questions that, for me, until a few years ago, the answer to all would have been a resounding YES! Because of recurring outbreaks of psoriasis, I hardly ever went to the beach, stayed at home when my friends went out clubbing and let the psoriasis control my life – negatively!

And then I was rescued! I’m not exaggerating, because something my dermatologist suggested turned my life around and all within the space of two months.
